Description
8% félbarna flamand ale
Het Anker Sörfőzde (1369), Mechelen, Antwerpen
The matured amber-colored beverage is crowned with a short-lived frothy crown. Caramel is most intensely present in its aroma. It’s a nourishing, substantial beer, as corn is used alongside barley malt as an ingredient. (Corn was first introduced from Mexico to Belgium during the reign of Emperor Charles.) The dominant flavors in its taste are roasted aromas, and in the aftertaste, hops make a return.
