In addition to the Cuveé Prestige aged in Bourbon barrels, the Gulden Draak Classic was aged for 8 weeks in Laphroaig barrels. These come from a Scotch whiskey distillery called the Isle of Islay. This single malt whiskey is characterized by a very pronounced peat flavor. It matures on its own, so that its smoky, full character is also reflected in the taste of Cuveé Prestige, and thus provides a great taste experience.
