Description
11% barna ale
Van Honsebrouck Sörfőzde (1900), Ingelmunster
Like many French wineries proudly state on their labels that their wine is made in a ‘chateau,’ this beer is also a ‘castle beer,’ crafted with as much care as a noble wine, aged for 12-17 weeks. Deep reddish-brown, soaked oak color. Unusual for beers, its foam is very short-lived due to the high alcohol content. The aroma is reserved, with only the scents of roasting noticeable. Respectable, with a huge body and alcohol content, it features intense sweetness, malt flavor, and a taste reminiscent of dried fruits. This beer is a great substitute for a glass of port wine after a meal.
