Description
5,5% flamand barna sour ale
Van Steenberge (1784), Ertvelde
Monk’s Cafe Grand Cru is a blend of 3 year aged and freshly brewed tripel ale. This blend is aged for 6 months in oak barrels. This is where Monk’s Cafe Grand Cru gets its unique profile and sour taste. Just before bottling, a top-fermented lager is mixed in to reach an alcohol content of 5.5%. It was chosen as the best “oud bruin” beer in the world in 2019 at the World Beer Award beer competition.
